Abstract	ÖZET Bu araştırma, adölesanların aile ve arkadaşlarmdan algıladıkları sosyal destek ile benlik saygısı arasındaki ilişkiyi değerlendir-mek amacıyla 1-30 Ocak 2002 yılı içerisinde tanımlayıcı olarak yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın evrenini, Trabzon İl Merkezi’ndeki liselerde okuyan 13.730 adölesan oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada örneklem büyüklüğü T Yamane’nin geliştirdiği 0.05 yanılgı için minumum örneklem büyüklüğü tablosuna göre, 390 kişi olarak belirlenmiş, evreni daha iyi temsil edebilmesi için 500 adölesan değerlendirmeye alınmıştır. Adölesanların bulundukları liselerden örnekleme seçilmesinde liselerin evrendeki temsil düzeyleri gözönüne alınarak her liseden o oranda öğrenci belirlenmiş daha sonra belirlenen sayıda öğrenci yi seçmek için lise son sınıf öğrencilerinin listelerinden şubeleri dikkate alınmaksızın basit rastgele örnekleme yöntemi ile saptanan sayıya ulaşmcaya kadar araştırmaya öğrenci alınmıştır. Veriler, öğrencilerin sosyo-demografik özelliklerini ve sosyal ilişkilerini belirleyen kişisel bilgi formu, Procidona ve Heller’in Aile ve Arkadaşlardan Algılanan Sosyal Destek Ölçeği(ASD-AUAR) ve Stanley Coopersmith’in Benlik Saygısı Ölçeği (BSÖ) ile toplanmıştır. Değerlendirmede, yüzdelik, t testi, korelasyon ve varyans analizi kullanılmıştır. Adölesanların aileden algıladıkları sosyal destek puan ortalamasının 12.081:4.1 olduğu (p<0.05), arkadaşlardan algılanan sosyal destek puan ortalamasmın 13.901:4.6 olduğu (p<0.05) saptanmıştır. Adölesanların benlik saygısı puan ortalamasmın 64.031:16.67 olduğu, aile ve arkadaşlardan algılanan sosyal destek ile aralarında pozitif bir ilişkinin bulunduğu (r=0.423AsD/AL' r=O.414ASD/AR, p<0.05) ve aile ile arkadaşlardan algılanan sO.'iyal destek arttıkça,adölesanların benlik saygısının yükseldiği saptanmıştır. ABSTRAC'T The Relationship Behveen The SelfEsteem Level And The Perserved From Their Families And Friends This research planned as descriptive was conducted in 1-30 January 2002 to evaluate the relationship between the self-esteem level and the perceived social support adolescents received from their families and friend. The field of the research formed total 13.730 adolescents attending to the high school in the center of Trabzon. According to the table of minumum exampling greatness that T. Yaman e developed for 0.05 error, 390 people were taken,but the 500 adolescents were added so that they would represent the field better. Data were collected by using a questionnaire prepared by the researcher to determine the socio-demographic characteristics of the students, Procidana and Heller 's Perceived Social Support Received from Families and Friends (PSS-F A/FR) scale, and Coppersmith Self-Esteem İnvertory (SEl) scale. Percentage, t Test, Correlation Analysis and Variance Analysis were used in evaluating the data. It was determined that the average point for the Perceived Social Support that adolescents received from their families was 12.081:4.1, (p<0.05), It was seen that the average point for the perceived social support that adolescents received from their friends was 13.901:4.6, (p<0.05) and It was found that the self-esteem grade average of the adolescents was 64.031:16.67 and that there was a positively relation between the self-esteem grade average and the perceived social support they received from their families andfriends (r=0.423psS/FA' r=O.414pSS/FR, p<0.05). The higher the perceived social support they received from their families and friends was the higher the self esteem level of the adolescents was.
