| Abstract | A Spring Talentette, a new thing in entertainment on the Rice campus, will be sponsored by the Rice Y, W. C. A. on April 18. The two hour-and-a-half program promised, will include two one act plays, readings, vocal solos, and instrumental selections of all kinds. The talent presented will not be exclusively from Rice Institute. Tickets at twenty-five cents Will be on sale next week. The entertainment will take place at 8 p.m. at the Autry house. Members of the club will serve as ushers. The annual Easter party given for fifty little Mexican children at Rusk settlement will be on April 14. Anyone feeling so Inclined is asked to leave inexpensive Easter baskets at Miss Lane's office. The treasury will pay for the eggs. Cars will meet at two o'clock at the Autry house to go to the settlement. The Rice Institute Debate club team defeated the team from A. and M. Did anybody know 'that Rice has a march dedicated to it? Neither did we (and we're supposed to know). We acknowledge a vote of thanks to Mrs. J. C. Barolet of Houston for bringing to our attention this oversight on our part as recipients of this honor. It is named "The Wisdom March," copyrighted in 1922 by J. C. Barolet. Mrs. Bartilet sent the sheet music and also a full band arrangement of "Hous-ton's Finest March." Both are compositions of the elate J. C. Barolet, referred to as the "Texas March King." The band, according to C. F. Mont-'gomerjr, business manager, will play "HouStoA'i Finest March" at the annual concert on April 30, together with Lost ConHn#**."ject is "The Manufacture and Characteristics of Laminated Glass"; she will discuss the nature and origin of laminated glass, methods of manufacture , and probable future developments. Mr. Hudson will talk on "The Developments in the Electric Industry in 1932"; hs will include a general resume of the industries in which the greatest progress was made and will continue with the specific topics of development in tho marine service, aviation, powsr service, domestic service , and transportation service. Mr. Mason will speak on "The Mechanical Application of Chromium Plating," His talk will cover the physical properties of chromium and the application of chromium for measuring devices, cutting of metals, and Diesel and auto piston pins.
