Abstract	Paraguay has a high incidence of cervical cancer in women of 35/100,0000 in 2008 and the human papilloma virus (HPV) is the causative agent. The planning of preventive measures can be benefited by the knowledge of the viral types. Therefore, the aim of this study was to determine the clinical and demographic characteristics of the HPV types present in women with negative cytology for squamous intraepithelial lesion. This was a cross-sectional study with an analytical compound in 207 women
