Abstract	The Service for the Dissemination of the Intellectual Creation (SEDICI), born in 2003 within La Plata National University, is a multidisciplinary digital repository that holds the academic and scientific output of all UNLP school faculties, its museum network, the publishing house Edulp and the University Radio, among other UNLP areas. This repository also maintains collections from third-party organizations which have come to an agreement with UNLP to preserve and disseminate their output. SEDICI's purpose is to become the mean to archive and make available all the institutional production to the global community. The repository strongly supports the Open Access movement, and provides services such as interoperability, accessibility and long term preservation. This article introduces the repository collections and the different ways users can search and locate resources inside them. Interoperability practices to increase visibility and impact are also presented here, as well as the efforts aimed at accomplishing minimum quality standards, mainly guided by external experiences and evaluators in a continuous improvement process.
