| Abstract | El modelo actual de produccion agropecuaria de la region pampeana argentina, ha mostrado una tendencia a la agriculturizacion, con un efecto directo sobre la dinamica de los agroecosistemas, generando impactos ambientales con consecuencias sobre la base de los recursos naturales. Tomando el partido de Necochea inserto en la region, esta investigacion propone analizar los cambios en el uso del suelo en dicho Partido entre 2003-2011, mediante sensores remotos, y estimar los impactos ambientales asociados con el proceso de agriculturizacion utilizando indicadores de sustentabilidad. Se realizo una clasificacion supervisada sobre imagenes de satelite Landsat 5, se entrevistaron a informantes clave y se relevaron datos de terreno. Historicamente, el Partido ha sido netamente agricola, y particularmente triguero; sin embargo en 2011 se evidencia que las areas agricolas, fundamentalmente sojeras, se incrementaron respecto de 2003 casi un 20% a expensas de las ganaderas. Los indicadores de sustentabilidad estimados para los dos anos indican que impactos vinculados al riesgo de contaminacion por agroquimicos, riesgo de intervencion del habitat e impactos sobre el ecosistema, fueron significativamente mayores en 2011. El trabajo realizado contribuye a diagnosticar el estado de situacion ambiental del Partido y orientar la toma de decisiones tendiendo a la gestion ambiental de los agroecosistemas. ABSTRACT The current model of agricultural production in the Argentinean Pampas region tends to agriculturization, showing environmental impacts. This research aims to analyze changes in land use in Necochea County, which is part of such region, between 2003 and 2011, by remote sensing, and to estimate some the environmental impacts associated with the agriculturization. A supervised classification of Landsat 5 satellite images was conducted, key informants were interviewed, field data were surveyed and sustainability indicators which indicate that impacts associated on the habitat, ecosystem and contamination by agrochemicals. Historically, the County has been working with wheat; however, in 2011, the agricultural areas, mainly soy production, increased almost 20% in comparison to 2003 at the expense of livestock. Sustainability indicators estimated for both years indicate that environmental impacts were significantly higher in 2011. The work helps to diagnose the environmental situation of the County helping to guide decision-making. |
