| Abstract | The purpose of this investigation was to compare the relationship between CRP-us and cytokines (TNF-α, IL-1 and IL-6) in septic adults (n = 100) and healthy individuals [controls (n = 100)]; selected in intensive care units (ICU) and in the services of external consultation of different hospitals in Bogota D.C. The septic group was characterized markedly increased concentrations of the analytes evaluated; this behavior was more evident in the patients who do not survived sepsis. |
