| Abstract | The purpose of this study is to identify the personal and contextual variables which have an influence on the perception of quality of life of adolescents with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDDs). 34 young people with IDDs between 13 and 21 years old and 10 tutors took part in the study. The Cuestionario de Evaluación de la Calidad de Vida de alumnos adolescentes (Gómez-Vela y Verdugo, 2009) and the Cuestionario sobre Autodeterminación para Profesores (Peralta y González-Torres, 2013) were used in order to confirm whether the teacher training and their strategies affect the quality of life of the students. The results indicate that adolescents with IDDs obtain high scores on quality of live, except in the dimension of self-determination.
