| Abstract | The present work aims to show the experience of an Extension Project called "Pré-Vestibular Comunitário na UFPR" (UFPR University, Palotina, Paraná State, Brazil) which was developed to bring the community youth closer to the University and create teaching opportunity to the undergraduate students. Considering the historically social inequality experienced in the country, as a Public University member, the necessity of building a social project was noted, therefore giving the working-class youth the perspective of accessing college. The class methodology has been lined by interdisciplinarity between Exact and Natural Sciences, prioritizing indissociability between teaching, research, and extension. The execution of this work provided academic knowledge application since the students had learned the content during the undergraduate period, thus contributing directly to the graduates' formation. The results were obtained with the acceptance of twenty former students in different institutions and the feedback from the participants reinforce the initiative's importance. |
