| Abstract | A diagnosis was accomplished in the extent of the theme environmental education, with the intention of investigating the elements that reflect the employes and collaborators' critical conscience in relation to the environmental protagonism at Embrapa Cerrados. The objectives were: to accomplish a preliminary diagnosis of concepts related to the environment issues, to evaluate the state of the art of the environmental protagonism, identifying critical positioning on practices and environmental values and the contribution of the self behavior to the environmental balance of the Company. It was verified that the naturalistic representation on environment prevails at Embrapa Cerrados, where the human being is dissociated of the nature (“I am detached"), and that nature should be appreciated, however, it should be preserved, for being resources supplyer, which we are entitled to enjoy. The increase of the conscience is still not accompanied of a significant increase in the attitudes and behaviors. The priority concerns are regarding the waste appropriate disposal (liquids or solids), saving water and electric energy. |
