Abstract	This article aims at going back to the main theoretical and methodological guidelines applied by Mirta Zaida Lobato in her book “La vida en las fabricas. Trabajo, protesta y politica en una comunidad obrera, Berisso (1904-1970)”. Providing a different perspective that combines the history of enterprises and the social history, this writer carries out a careful analysis of Swift and Armour de Berisso meat processing plant workers. Unlike most traditional studies of the national working class, her work explores a change in the topics and questions which have been scarcely mentioned by the local historiography till the 80´s. It is our principal aim to emphasize some theoretical matters closely connected with our historical background, in particular, the conceptual strictness that should exist in every scientific study.
