| Abstract | We live in a changing world, in a society in which information and communication technologies (ICT) enable new opportunities for updating. This study aims to determine what the preferences of teacher’s permanent training are. We carried out a quantitative non-experimental descriptive study in order to deal with this objective. The participants were 73 teachers of Primary Education. The data was collected through a self-created questionnaire. The results highlight three critical issues: the increasingly relevant role of ICT in updating the professional practice of teachers, the demand for a more adjusted formal training to current needs, and the positive assessment of the educational possibilities of informal contexts of training in teacher professional development. In this way, it can be observed that the society in which we live has generated new teaching training needs. |
