Abstract	This chapter gives an up-to-date synthesis on the mobile art produced by Palaeolithic and Epipalaeolithic societies occupying Cantabrian Spain, which forms one of the most valuable records we have to understand the culture and beliefs of those societies. The artistic objects are situated in their cultural context, and they are presented in chronological order, from the origin of these artefacts in the region, which is directly linked with the question of the Transition to the Upper Palaeolithic, to the profound transformation in Palaeolithic art that took place at the end of the Pleistocene.
