| Abstract | In this paper we offer to the reader some toughts about the need to take into account some principles of the philosophy of science in the elaboration of science educational programmes, particularly in elementary and secondary education. We try to show that the importance of doing this is related with the construction in the teacher as well as in the student of a coherent image of science that allows both of them undestand the complex relation between the advancement of science and thechnology in the modern world and how post industrial societies develops. We depart showing the “image” of science that prevails in mexican science curricula for basic education and from there we argue the need of more changes in that image, but specially in the context of real educative practice, for that we show a sigle and situated example. |
