In this paper we address some relationships between myth and reason regarding them as two different and valid sources of knowledge, belonging to different spheres. The mythos and the logos appear in the early stages of Greek thought. In the old Homeric language use does not mean anything other than “speech” , “proclamation”, “notification”, “make an announcement”. We illustrate these considerations with some contemporary myths: sexuality and family; modernity-postmodernity and ecologisms. |
