| Abstract | Primary Health Care (PHC) is configured as the main strategic structure for a unified health system. The actions are prioritized to promote, prevent and recover health. The focus on the study was to investigate the view of six psychologists working on PHC, regarding their knowledge, practice and role in the mental health care arena. This is a qualitative, interpretative and exploratory research. The researchers developed an interview partial structured as an instrument to collect data. Content Analysis was used and three categories emerged: (1) Psychosocial Practices, (2) Mental Health (3) Intersectional approach and Care Network. It was noted an increase in scope of practices applied by the Psychologists, either on the clinical practices context, as well as in the diversified mental health and intersectional approach care. The specific academic and professional knowledge impact the establishment of practices related within the work context. |
