| Abstract | This article shows the result of the literature review concerning the use of simulators in education to develop specific skills. The most interesting findings of the review are found in educational simulations focused on fields such as medicine, nursing, management, psychology and engineering, showing representative findings regarding the development of skills and competencies when students interact with educational simulators, reducing both chances of making mistakes in their practice as well as the social and individual undesirable consequences that could happen in a real scenario. In sum, this exercise found enough positive results to postulate the benefits that can be achieved using simulators in undergraduate education of service oriented disciplines. |
