| Abstract | La proliferacion de casos de secuestro internacional de menores por uno de los progenitores en situaciones de ruptura familiar, ha llevado a las autoridades de los paises que puedan verse involucrados y a las Organizaciones Internacionales, a intentar a traves de la mediacion, de encontrar «soluciones amigables» teniendo como eje fundamental «el interes superior del menor». En la misma linea, se enmarca el Convenio de La Haya de 25 de octubre de 1980, que pretende crear un marco a nivel internacional, por medio del cual las autoridades judiciales y administrativas de los paises implicados puedan colaborar, para reponer a la mayor brevedad posible al menor en cuestion, a su Estado de residencia habitual previo al secuestro, y del que ha sido sustraido ilegalmente. The proliferation of cases of international child abduction by one parent or the other involved in family break-up, has forced the authorities of countries potentially involved and international organizations, to find «friendly settlements» by means of mediation, having «the best interests of the child» as its fundamental axis. The Hague Convention of October 25th/1980 is framed within the same scope, which pretends to create an international level structure, through which the judicial and administrative authorities of the countries involved, could collaborate in order to return the child, as soon as possible, to his/her previous to abduction habitual State of residence, and from which the child has been illegally abducted. |
