| Abstract | Depending on locolizotion ond the number of the banes involved, craniofocial fibrous dysplosia may result in dysmorphic syndrome as well as otologic, visual ond nasal symptoms. The mai n purpose of this orticle is to illustrote two report coses of polyostotic fi brous dysplosia w ith predominant affection of tem poral and etmoid banes. ln the fi rst case, the temporal disease results in vertiga because of the block of vestibular aqueduct and low function of vesti bule. The patient underwent neurectomy of both vestibular nerves by retrosigmoid approach. ln lhe second case, lhe elmoid diseose results in nasal block and proptosis and the patient underwent total resection by paralateronasal approach under endoscopic contrai. The authors make a review of the literature concerning the clinical, diagnostic and therapeutic aspects of craniofocial disease. |
