| Abstract | ESTIMATIVA DA TEMPERATURA DO AR E DA EVAPOTRANSPIRACAO DE REFERENCIA NO ESTADO DO RIO DE JANEIRO Daniela Pinto Gomes 1 ; Daniel Fonseca DE Carvalho 2 ; Dionizio Honorio de Oliveira Neto 1 E Carlos Antonio Barreto dos Santos 1 1 MSc, Doutorando no Programa de Pos-graduacao em Fitotecnia/Universidade Federal Rural do Rio de Janeiro, danielagomesagro@hotmail.com, dionizioneto@yahoo.com.br, agrobarreto@yahoo.com.br 2 Departamento de Engenharia, UFRRJ, carvalho@ufrrj.br, Bolsista de produtividade do CNPq 1 RESUMO O presente estudo foi desenvolvido com o objetivo de gerar modelos de regressao multipla, visando a estimativa das temperaturas minimas, maximas e medias mensais e media anual, e posterior estimativa da evapotranspiracao de referencia (ETo) para o estado do Rio de Janeiro, tendo como variaveis independentes latitude, longitude e altitude. Foram utilizados dados de temperatura do ar de 37 estacoes meteorologicas do INMET, sendo 31 localizadas no estado do Rio de Janeiro, 4 em Minas Gerais, 1 em Sao Paulo e 1 no Espirito Santo. Os modelos foram selecionados com base no nivel de significância dos seus coeficientes e nos coeficientes de regressao ajustados. Os resultados indicam que: altitude e latitude foram as variaveis que mais influenciaram na estimativa das temperaturas, estando a primeira presente em todos os modelos gerados; a analise de desempenho dos modelos demonstrou que os valores de temperatura do ar estimados nao diferiram estatisticamente dos valores medidos; e que os valores de ETo obtidos a partir de valores estimados de temperatura nao diferiram estatisticamente daqueles estimados por valores medidos de temperatura. ESTIMATE OF AIR TEMPERATURE AND REFERENCE EVAPOTRANSPIRATION IN RIO DE JANEIRO STATE, BRAZIL 2 ABSTRACT The objective of the study was to generate multiple regression models to estimate minimum, maximum, mean monthly and mean annual air temperatures, followed by the estimate of reference evapotranspiration (ETo) in Rio de Janeiro state. Latitude, longitude and altitude were the independent variables. Data of air temperature from 37 meteorological stations of the INMET network were used, being 31 stations located in Rio de Janeiro state, 4 stations in Minas Gerais state, 1 station in Sao Paulo state and 1 station in Espirito Santo state. The models were selected according to the significance level of their coefficients and to the adjusted coefficients of regression. Results showed that the altitude and latitude were the variables that most influenced the estimates of temperature, and the former was present in all generated models. The analysis of the model performance showed that no statistically significant difference was found between estimated values of air temperature and measured values. Also, no difference was found between values of ETo obtained from estimated values of air temperature and estimated values from measured values of temperature.
