| Abstract | The rice culture is of great importance for the southern region of Brazil, with this region having the largest area sown and the largest industrial center for processing the crop. In this context, the use of high-quality seeds presents a remarkable role in obtaining better levels of production in the crop. In this sense, the objective of this study was to evaluate the seed behavior of three irrigated rice cultivars when submitted to different vigor test methodologies. Five rice seed lots (Oryza sativa L.) from three cultivars, IRGA 424 RI, Guri INTA CL and Puitá INTA CL were used, totaling fifteen lots. To evaluate the vigor of the lots, field tests, cold tests and accelerated aging were used, the latter being evaluated in periods of 48, 72 and 96 hours with a temperature of 41 ° C. It was observed influence of the cultivar in the efficiency of the different tests used, in such a way that the use of each methodology presented different sensitivity levels for the detection of vigor for each genetic material used. |
