Abstract	The understanding and the language are limited when the object of knowledge is the maximum, the unit and the infinity. This article aims to indicate the boundaries of knowledge and discourse on the first principle of all things. To do so, first, will discuss how Nicholas of Cusa (14011464) comprises the absolute maximum; in a second stage, from the De docta ignorantia, disproportio examine the relationship between the finite and the infinite (The learned ignorance, L. I, Chap. III, n. 9) and, finally, examine the presence and necessity of a connecting symbolic language, with a view to vagueness and lack of statements about the first principle. Like admitting the possibility of knowing the infinite when considering the logic of reason and idea disproportio? Cusano states that the maximum in the absolute sense is intelligible incomprehensible manner and following the same logic, it is nameable of unspeakable way. This article is divided into two stages: first, "Understand the incomprehensible way the first principle” and second, “Name of nameless way which is understandable in an incomprehensible way." To indicate the traces of the problem of knowledge and language in cusana speculation, the work in question will follow in general the issues raised by Nicholas of Cusa in De docta ignorantia (1440) and De non aliud (1462).
