| Abstract | "Translation" as a theme is approached from a double point of view. According to an uncodified model, it is the mainstay of a theory that aims to be serious but that is voluntarily concise in its presentation. It is examined together with some linked subjects of equal importance, as lexicon's knowledge, copies and fakes, automatic translation. Some examples are reported, quoted from literary and professional writings, Italian and non-Italian. On the other hand, the newly enlarged Europe of the 25 needs as never before the start of a codified model of translation, as outlined in the following "Nota in contrappunto" (Note in counterpoint) by Anna Baldazzi. |
