| Abstract | Extensive research in Earth Science Teaching field, shows a notorious absence of its contents in Secondary School's plan of study. Different researchs presents Museums as resources to contribute to non–formal education. The Museum of Natural and Anthropological Science “Professor Antonio Serrano” is located in Paraná, and depends of the Communication Ministry of Entre Rios. This work is designed in order to know the contributions that Museums can give to Earth Science learning, which general objective is to analyse how contribute to Geology learning in secondary schools students diverse activities of non–formal education planned from the Natural and Anthropological Science “Professor Antonio Serrano” museum, in Parana City, Entre Rios. An hypothesis is raised: Non formal education that Serrano Museum gives through “Geology in daily life” course for secondary school students in Parana City, is a complement for a significant learning of Geology. A course is designed, with two groups of students from 1o year of Technical Education School No 1 “Francisco Ramirez”, in the Biology area. The results shows that the museum activities help positively to Geology learning, allowing to affirm the hypothesis and confirming that non–formal education brings an important contribution to formal education. |
