| Abstract | This paper demonstrates how the theoretical framework of white-collar crime, grounded in the "Fraud Triangle" provides a useful theoretical foundation for research in academic dishonesty. A review of recent literature on academic dishonesty reveals that the factors that are significantly correlated to cheating in higher education are in fact very similar to those factors that have been found to predict fraud in the corporate world. |
