| Abstract | It is a literature review, where we seek to know the types of violence and the risks to which the nurse is exposed to act in urgent and emergency services. The descriptors used were: violence, nursing, and emergency work. The results comprise a sample of 11 papers, all the field research carried out by nurses and teachers. The main problems raised by the authors are about the working conditions that nursing takes the overcrowding of the emergency services and emergency and the particular difficulties of patient care. It is concluded that nursing suffers in his work to various forms of physical and psychological violence, which directly affects the quality of care and health professionals. |
