| Abstract | Studies confirm that bullying often serves as a precursor to school violence and antisocial behavior. Additionally, bullying contributes to public health and social problems. Although there has been a growing interest in this topic for k-12 children and the workforce, there is limited data about the prevalence and prevention of bullying on college and university campuses. Because of the strong correlation between bullying and violence, colleges and universities need to address the problem of bullying with a comprehensive approach. This paper explores the unique nature of bullying in postsecondary education and offers solutions for dealing with it. |
