| Abstract | The present work present the investigation carried out on the use of performance indexes for decision-making in the implementation of system projects. For conducting this research, the Project Management Institute Methodology was used for literature review, addressing the management of system projects and the concept of Balanced Scorecard, which approaches the use of indexes in strategy implementation. The BSC was employed to stress the relation between the results of the projects and the strategies. With the support of a qualitative methodology, we sought to identify the interviewees’ (fifteen executives) experiences concerning the use of performance indexes by means of semi-structured interviews. These contributions were structured in four steps: difficulties found in the implementation of index systems, aspects to supervise in the projects, indexes in perspectives, and lessons learned. Based on the literature review and the result of an analysis of the interviews is proposed, in chapter 5, a roadmap for identification of priority projects and key-indexes for project management. |
