Abstract	espanolEn esta investigacion se efectuo un diagnostico sobre los factores que inciden en la eleccion de carrera de los alumnos de 4° ano medio, de tres establecimientos de distintas dependencias bajo la modalidad cientifico-humanista, en la ciudad de Los Angeles, Chile. Este estudio se inscribe en el paradigma de investigacion interpretativo, con un diseno exploratorio, correlacional y transversal con analisis de datos cualitativos y cuantitativos. Se trabajo con una muestra de 363 alumnos de 4° ano medio, correspondiente al ultimo ano de ensenanza antes de postular a la universidad. EnglishIn this research a diagnosis on the factors affecting career choices in 4th high school students fron three differents schools under the scientific-humanistic system, in the city of Los Angeles, Chile, was carried out. This study is part of the interpretative research paradigm with an exploratory, correlational and cross-sectional design with analysis of qualitative and quantitative data. We worked with a sample of 363 students in 4th high, corresponding to the last year education before applying to college.
