Graduating Paper of English and Department, Teacher Training and Education Faculty, State Institute for Islamic Studies (IAIN). The research is about improving stdudents ability in writing analytical exposition text using kamishibai in the second grade students of SMA N 1 Tuntang in the academic year of 2016/2017. The aims of the research are (1) to describe the implementation of kamishibai (2) to find out the improvement of student’s writing ability (3) to find out the significant improvement of the student’s writing ability. Based on the observation of the reseracher during teaching learning process, the students were difficult to get ideas in writing analytical exposition text. The methodology of the research was classroom action research which consist of two cycles. The number of the students in this research was 36 students. In completing the research, the researcher used observation sheet, documentation and written test as the instrument of collecting data. By conducting classroom action research, it was found that the implementation of kamishibai improved students ability in writing analytical exposition text. The result of this reserach showed that there was an improvement. It was shown from the finding in cycle 1 was lower than the minimum passing grade of SMA N 1 Tuntang (75). The mean of pre-test I (55,89) and post test II (67,2). The findings in cycle II was higher than the minimium passing grade of SMA N 1 Tuntang (75) in the academic year of 2016/2017. The mean of score of pre test II (69,83) and post test in cycle II was 87,86. Based on the result of this research, it could be concluded that the implementation of kamishibai method improved students ability in writing analytical exposition text of the second grade students of SMA N 1 Tuntang in The Academic Year of 2016/2017. |
