| Abstract | Manganese has been precipitated as manganese ammonium phosphate from homogeneous solution by raising the pH of an initially acid solution containing Mn(II) and PO~ions in the presence of ammonium sulphate by urea hydrolysis. Microscopic measurements showed that the particles obtained by this method were more than 100 times bigger than those obtained by conventional procedure. A comparison of homogeneous and conventional methods has been made with regard to the separation of manganese from Cu(II) and Ni(II). |
