Abstract	This topic for this thesis is value dynamics in hybrid organizations, and the purpose is to study the importance of value-based orientation in diaconal microfinance institutions. The main research question is: What impact has the professionalization of microfinance institutions for value orientation and leadership? Through the study, I analyze two banks in Latin America that combine logics respectively from diaconal development work and from the bankand finance sector.
