| Abstract | The paper adopts principal-agent theories of information economics to analyse water resource management of the South-to-North Water Transfer. After stating the principal-agent relationship structure of water resource management of the East Route of the South-to-North Water Transfer, it designs an operation mechanism for the principal-agent relationship: signal showing, cooperation and motivation; gives basic concepts and models for the mechanisms; and puts forward further research directions for the principal and agent of the water resource management of the East Route of the South-to-North Water Transfer. |
