Abstract	Es desconcertante el precario uso que se hace de la ciencia ficcion para la ensenanza y divulgacion de las ciencias, incluida su dimension axiologica, por lo que se propone en este articulo la puesta en practica de la ciencia ficcion dura, tanto en su version literaria como en la cinematografica, para tal ensenanza y divulgacion. Ademas, se precisa el contexto respectivo desde la semiologia. Por ultimo, se brinda un par de ejemplos acerca de lo que cabe cosechar al respecto con nuestros alumnos. Palabras claves: Ciencia ficcion; educacion cientifica; educacion etica y bioetica; cultura democratica. Epistemological and axiological strengths of science fiction: a pedagogical potosi poorly used in teaching and dissemination of science It is disconcerting the precarious use it is made of science fiction for scientific teaching and spreading, including their axiological dimension, because of which it is proposed in this paper the putting into practice of hard science fiction, both its literary version and its cinematographic counterpart, for the aforementioned teaching and spreading. Besides, the respective context from semiotics is stated clearly. Finally, a couple of examples are offered concerning it is possible to reap with our students about the matter.
