Abstract	Algeria faces enormous climatic conditions, four fifths of the national territory to a hot and dry climate. Although residential buildings are confronted with problem of discomfort related to the phenomenon of overheating and exposure of facades to intense solar radiation, the use of vegetation as solar mask makes it possible to achieve a better thermal comfort with is effects in the latter. In this research, we treat the effect of vegetation on thermal comfort in collective housing in the city of Biskra is addressed, for benefit of poor high temperature and creates thermal comfort through a plant arrangement that meets the requirements of the area. We first cite the particular effect of vegetation in the urban and its use in residential buildings, as well as thermal comfort and collective housing. Finally we have adapted a method of arrangement and integration of the plant to poor the temperature in the collective housing in the city of Biskra, and improves thermal comfort.
