Abstract	Soil preparation Irearmenls, weed control and fertilization praeliees in a euealyptus (Euealyptus globulus ssp g/obulus) plantalion were tested. The field trÍllI is loealed in Chile's seminarid region, with 400 mm annual rainfaU. Inlensive planting trearments are essential /O oblain high planl survival and growlh, as shown by Ihe resulls. The fimow proved to be Ihe best $DiI preparation tee/mique, whereas herbieide applieation can be eonsidered as the best option to assure the survival and good inilÍllI plan/ation growth. Growth is posilively influeneed by fertilization, bul it must be applied togelher with the herbieide. olherwise a negative survival effeel is eaused.
