| Abstract | Companies worldwide are trying to implement green supply chain management practices at various levels of their supply chain. This process is triggered by multiple factors such as increasing awareness about environmental deterioration, increasing legislations and pressures from the government to comply with regulatory requirements, etc. A research study was conducted to understand to what extent greening of the supply chain is taking place and to determine the drivers for green practices in Indian manufacturing companies. A conceptual model was developed from literature sources and data was collected using a structured questionnaire from various manufacturing organisations. The objective of this research work is to bring out the insights of the supply chain greening process and to inspire various stakeholders to work towards environment-friendly supply chains. |
