Abstract	espanolEl presente trabajo se realizo en los bosques plantados de Pinus maestrensis Bisse de la Empresa Forestal Integral Granma, con el fin de ajustar el modelo de regresion para la estimacion del volumen de estas plantaciones. Se levantaron 50 parcelas de 500 m2 y midieron 50 arboles tipos talados para su cubicacion asi como se probaron 41 ecuaciones de regresion para estimar el volumen. Los datos obtenidos de los arboles y parcelas se procesaron y sometieron a pruebas estadisticas de correlacion y regresion, utilizando el paquete SPSS version 15.0 para Windows. Los valores de correlacion de Pearson, definieron como variables predictoras de los modelo las variables (gt), (db), (d1.30), (g1.30), (Ac), y (d1/2ht). El modelo de mejor ajuste para estimar el volumen de Pinus maestrensis fue el de Schumacher y Hall. EnglishThis work was done in planted forests of Pinus maestrensis Bisse Forestal Integral Granma, in order to determine the regression model to estimate the volume of these plantations. 75 plots of 500 m2 were erected and measured 50 trees felled for cubing and 41 regression equations were tested to estimate the volume types. The data obtained from trees and plots were processed and subjected to statistical tests of correlation and regression, using SPSS version 15.0 for Windows. The Pearson correlation values, correlated with all variable except (hf) showing weak correlation. The variables (gt), (db), (d1.30) (g1.30), (Ac), and (d1/2ht) show a strong correlation. The greater statistical reliability model to estimate the volume of Pinus maestrensis was Schumacher and Hall.
