| Abstract | The research is to be carried out in the buffer zone of the National Park Los Nevados in the area adjacent to the rural and urban area of the city of Manizales, the primary purpose of determining the environmental impact by anthropogenic and scope of the environmental management by the competent authorities in relation to the ecological footprint in the study area. Executives reportedly PNNN of the last four years is evidence of the loss of flora and fauna, under pressure from the inhabitants of the area of Lake Otún, expansion of the agricultural frontier due to intensive farming, the establishment of crops like potatoes and forestry and logging of the lower area of the park that is in the buffer zone. This has resulted in a significant environmental impact, as far as the ecosystem balance is concerned, given that these ecosystems are of great importance for the production of water important for the maintenance and preservation of life in rural and urban Manizales city and other neighboring municipalities and departments to the National Park Los Nevados (PNNN). |
