Abstract	Resumen En este trabajo nos proponemos dar una vision de la evolucion del papel del componente cultural en la ensenanza de lenguas y de la conexion de la lengua con la cultura, igualmente los motivos por los cuales debemos ensenar cultura en la clase de ELE, el tratamiento de la cultura en los modelos curriculares actuales, que cultura debemos ensenar y cuatro propuestas didacticas con los que podemos trabajar la actitud ante el tiempo y el espacio asi como los comportamientos sociales. Asimismo, presentamos unas reflexiones sobre los beneficios que obtendremos con la presentacion del componente cultural en las clases de ELE. Abstract In this work we aimed to present an overview of the evolution of the role of the cultural component in language teaching and the connection of language with culture, the reasons why we should teach culture in the Spanish as a Second Language(SSL) class, the treatment of culture in the current curricular models, what culture we should teach and we make four didactic proposals that might be helpful in order to study the attitudes to time and space and social behaviors in the Spanish as a Second Language (SSL) class.There fore, we present some reflections and the benefits of the presentation of the cultural component in the class.
