| Abstract | Setaria is a tropical to temperate genus of the family Gramineae. S. italica (L.) Beauv., with common English name foxtail millet, is one of the few economically important species of Setaria, and also one of the principle millets. It is an annual grass, with linear leaves, erect shoots of several tens of centimeters to one meter in height, and spike-like panicle of 10–40 cm in length. |
