Abstract	OTOTOXICITY CAUSED BY CISPLATIN IN PATIENTS WITH OSTEOSARCOMA Luz Cristina Córdoba Vega, Dohana Cortés Prado, Angie Carolina Gómez Gómez This is a proposal of a prospective study to describe the audiometric features of subjects diagnosed with osteosarcoma before and after having received chemotherapy with cisplatin treated in the Pediatrics Department at the Instituto Nacional de Cancerología (INC) from 2000 to 2009. From the theorical review, 23 articles were analyzed according to the levels of evidence of the Oxford Centre for Evidence-based Medicine. In the evidence consulted there are several research objectives and methodologies, however all authors agreed that audiologic monitoring is important in pediatric and adolescent patients treated with cisplatin to reduce the effects of hearing loss.
