| Abstract | This paper finds the fundamental groups of D2 and S1 and then uses these to prove Brouwer’s Fixed point theorem in two dimensions. Then, assuming Brouwer’s fixed point theorem in n dimensions, we proceed to prove the Nash theorem for n-player non-cooperative games where each player has a finite set of pure strategies. |
