| Abstract | In this paper we outline our current interests in the design and development of a form of technology which we refer to as technology heirlooms. In part, these might represent new devices but they also suggest a means by which existing mundane technologies such as digital files and data might come to be considered heirlooms and then require new forms of treatment and be associated with new forms of practice. We discuss ways in which we have and will be researching in this space to inform our design activities. |
