| Abstract | The topic of this paper is to describe the peculiarities of the recreational demand of the Euganea's hills' regional park. The guess of the park's recreative function has a relevant cognitive value for the public management, considering the lack of data and informations about the recreative phenomena in the park. To individualize a detailed classification of the various recreative activities a new method, which is based on a general description of the phenomena, has been implemented. That description allows to characterize the most relevant elements of the park's recreative system. Later on some estimates about the various quantitative and qualitative aspect are given. Those estimates are reliable and effective as instruments of intervention in the territory planning, that assures the balance between the local tourism developement and the environment conservation. During this estimating both the zonal and the individual travel cost methods have been used. Using the zonal method the demand function and the user's area have been quantified. These results have been integrated using the individual travel cost method that allowed to identify the park's users profile and behaviour. |
