| Abstract | Based on the evaluation of the opinions of different entrepreneurs, this study seeks to determine the importance attributed to several factors considered as inducers of the internationalization process by companies that are internationalized early in their life cycle. Factors such as the relational networks, entrepreneurs’ specific skills and international experience of employees are considered. The empirical study is conducted on a sample of 320 Portuguese companies being used Data Exploratory Analysis methodologies and Univariate Statistical Inference methodologies. Evidence was found of the importance for Portuguese entrepreneurs of Relational Networks, as well as the specific competences of the employees, the International Experience of employees, in line with Network Theory, the Human Capital Theory, the Theory of International New Ventures, the Population Ecology Approach and the Attention based View.
