| Abstract | The present work gathers the reflections generated around the social imaginaries of political participation that some ex-combatants of the FARC have and a group of academic experts in a context of democratization as in which the peace process takes place. This investigation starts from the origin of the armed conflict in Colombia, where political exclusion appears as one of the triggering factors of the armed confrontation and as one of the characteristics of the Colombian political system that does not allow for the consolidation of alternative political proposals and projects. legitimized in power. In this scenario, political participation is located as a practice that makes it possible to launch a vision or model of development; Therefore, it is directly related to the economic, social, political and cultural powers that are configured in the territories and that ultimately influence to a large extent the fate of the communities. This is why participation is also located as a determining factor in the transformation of the social, cultural, economic and political realities of the country, hence the importance of asking why claim political participation in Colombia and significantly in a context of democratization as it is a peace agreement. |
