Abstract	The article looks at the influence of the mythical character of Beatriz, through the archetype of donna angelicata, in some of the feminine figures of the poetry from the Peruvian historical avant-guard. These are called «Andeans» in a general way, filtering through to Peruvian culture. We show that the analysed poets feel the need to create a native feminine figure as a way of revalue the beauty and the dignity of the Andean woman and, through it, to the culture, the language and the Peruvian scenery against the predominant Spanish discourse of the beginning of the twentieth century.
