| Abstract | The teaching staff of the subjects Mathematics I and II, 1.st year of Industrial Engineering at Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (UNED), together with several tutor-teachers, have carried out an educational innovation Project for the adaptation to the European Higher Education Area (EHEA). We have studied the implementation of learning monitoring and tutorization models, that could be a balanced solution between available resources and desired characteristics. This experience has been carried out with volunteer students, chosen through the virtual platform, who also were offered free configuration credits. The students carried out, under the supervision of the tutor-teachers, the activities proposed by the teacher staff in both virtual and present groups. As the subjects are given in consecutive terms, the results obtained in Mathematics I allowed us to modify the experience in Mathematics II. Finally, the results can be the basis for the export of the experience carried out to other subjects in these studies and allowed us to the study of new tools for the requirements imposed by the EHEA. At the same time, it has been analysed if the student performance when these strategies were applied is improved. |
