| Abstract | This thesis studies, through the concept of deformation, the eclectic notions of cinema's fundamental principles upon which authors and critics, during the 20th century, defined the criteria to judge the achievements and mistakes of film narrative. From this perspective, it can be stated that “deformation” is the other side of the ideal models which have established cinema's official story. The study of deformation plays the role of hypothetically deviating cinema's trajectory to neglected places where it coexist with specters who are the image of its own negativity, pushing films to walk through the passage which they didn't take. |
