| Abstract | The Hospital «Dr. Lucero Leonidas» is a public hospital which aims to provide health services to the population of the Bahia Blanca, giving priority to those without health insurance and low income. In practice serves patients either without social security and those who have it. The objective of this study is to analyze financial and economic imple- mentation of capitation agreement «PAMI» with the Hospital for which we conducted a retrospective and descriptive study for the period between 2006 and 2010. It shows that in the analyzed period, the value retrieved by the institution was in all cases less than the cost generated by the patient care. We conclude that although the mechanism of self-management was implemented in order to recover the costs of patients with SS, in this case this is not achieved, resulting in a deficit to the detriment of the institution. |
